A native of the great State of Texas, “Silky” is a unique
artist who not only exemplifies class, but also clearly demonstrates her
professional demeanor and talent with every performance. The mission of
this site is to provide a musical journey that one rarely experiences.
While perusing this site (still a work in progress), you will come
to appreciate “Silky’s” style and accomplishments.
Her
new CD entitled “Silky” Waters Run Deep” will be available for
review and sale soon! Meanwhile,
preview several of the cuts from that CD --- “Georgia On My Mind,” her
tribute to the late, great Ray Charles and the unforgettable “Ain’t
Never Been A Love Like This One,” the soundtrack to the Joseph Levine
award winning Cannes Film Festival movie, “The Woman Inside”
--- and of course, a track of “Never Gonna Be The Same,” which
soared to the top of Billboard and Record World Charts during the
dance era providing her worldwide exposure.
“Silky’s”
unique style and performance in her delivery of Ballads, Jazz, Blues,
R&B, Gospel and Pop Music has earned her the titles of “QUEEN OF
EMOTION” and “SONG STYLIST EXTRAORDINAIRE”.
She has performed with the greats ---- Lionel Hampton, Miles Davis
and Freddie Hubbard.
